Cancer New Moon Ritual for Self-Love and Nourishment

The July 20, 2020 Cancer Double New Moon is helping us prepare for the start of a new cycle. While we may feel a little constricted, restless and in need of grounding at first, eventually we will start feeling more at peace within our surroundings and more at home within ourselves.

To help support you through these energies and time of inner contemplation, here is a soothing ritual that focuses on returning to love and self-nourishment.

This ritual is best done from July 17-27, 2020

You will need:

Directions:

1) Start by cleansing your energy field and then your surroundings by speaking the following:

“From the top of my head to the tips of my toes, I restore and recharge the energy field of my body. My aura is strengthened and restored. It shines like the rays of the pure golden sun. I radiate peace from inside my bones. Kindness shines through my smile and my eyes, and I am lifted and held by my inner divine. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”

“From corner to corner, this room is cleansed of any and all energies that are no longer in accordance with my highest good. Let these energies be sent to the light and returned to the earth to be composted into something new. This space is now filled with love, peace, joy, healing and abundance. May this space be forever protected and may all those who enter this space be blessed, myself included. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”

2) Begin your ritual by slowly eating a Maya Moon Cacao Truffle or sipping Ceremonial Drinking Cacao, connecting to each your senses and feeling the cacao flow into your body. Take a few deep breaths as you begin your heart meditation. This will help open your heart, strengthen your energy field, balance your chakras and connect you to the flow of love in your body and soul. Use your meditation to quiet your mind and reflect on your intentions for this Double Moon.

3) After your meditation, take a moment and gaze at your reflection in the mirror. Look into your eyes and then go further, really connecting to your soul. Notice what comes up for you as you do this.

4) After a few minutes, say something loving to yourself, whatever you feel in that moment. Be kind and supportive with your words. Honor and recognize any pain you are feeling and give thanks to the strength that resides within you.

5) Gently acknowledge any emotions that come up for you as you do this. Listen to and give thanks to your inner self. When you feel complete, stretch your arms and wrap them around yourself like you are giving yourself a hug. Hold yourself for a moment.

To close out your ritual, speak the following out loud to all parts of yourself:

“You are a loving, radiant, magnificent being. You are doing great in the face of life’s challenges. As I wrap my arms around you, I ease your pain and struggles. I am here for you. I see you, I hear you, and I love you. We may not always show that to one another, but I am you, you are me, and we are in this as One. I will always be here for you. I will always be here to hold you no matter what. I trust and believe in you. Thank you for being you.”

6) When you finish, write down 10 things you can do to be more loving and supportive towards yourself. How are you inspired to nourish and feed your mind, body, and soul? Place your list somewhere you can look at frequently throughout the lunar month. Enjoy!
